Each year, over 200 pastry chef’s, bakers, and chocolatiers create delectable, delicious, mouth watering delights, that serve a sweet cause. Every month, we will be featuring great desserts that have consistently gotten raves from our fans and theirs alike. A participant since 2009, Henrietta’s Table at the Charles Hotel in Cambridge featured dessert for 2009 was Low Fat Farmer’s Custard with Fresh Berries made by Executive Chef Peter Davis. Chef Davis has been instrumental in keeping it fresh and honest with the best local ingredients since Henrietta’s Table opened in 1995. Enjoy Henrietta’s Table 2011 Dessert, Farmers Custard.

Not Your Average Joe’s has participated in Boston Bakes for 13 years. As each restaurant has opened, they have all participated in Boston Bakes. Executive Chef Chris Bodington’s Strawberry Shortcake – housemade shortcake biscuit filled with maserated strawberries & ice cream has in recent years become a Boston Bakes fan favorite.

City Table at the Lenox Hotel in Boston first participated in Boston Bakes 2010. Kristin Rose, Pastry Chef chose to make Whoopie Pies in honor of Food and Beverage Director Michael Carlisle’s mother a breast cancer survivor from Maine. Kristin was able to use the Carlisle family Whoopie Pie recipe for her wonderful dessert..

Finale has been a Boston Bakes participant for the past 13 years when they first opened their first location in Boston. Now with 2 locations participating, Nicole Coady, Executive Pastry Chef at Finale provides a different dessert selection each and every year. A sampler of desserts for Boston Bakes has included her wonderful blueberry cheesecake, flans, tarts just to name a few.
